It had been an uneventful ride to Jakku aboard the mercenary-filled silver SS-54 gunship. The ship was a newer model and of quite good specs given its low cost, however their specific ride was scattered with blaster scorch marks and patch jobs to cover up what he could only assume could be deadly holes in the hull. Jace had remained quit almost the entire time- a little on edge. Beyond his fear of dying in atmospheric entry, he wondered if the ship was a bit to obviously a risk- given it looked like it had come from a war zone.
He sat back in his chair. To his left was a Cathar man, to his right, a Rhodian splicer, and to his far right, an IG-88 unit. The Rhodian would not shut up most of the trip and had gone on about how he was a legendary splicer for quite some time. Even the IG-88 unit was annoyed. From what he could tell though, those who hired them had put money down on this mission, but not top notch money. Jace was after all low in the guild, and the splicer couldn't have been much higher paid of a merc. What bothered Jace though was the Cathar who he knew very little about, and the expensive IG-88 droid.
An IG-88 was a lot of expensive fire power for a mission like this and like wise was a bit higher on the class scale than the rest of the crew. Jace checked that all his guns were holstered, his armor on, and that his mandalorian helmet's battery had a full charge. A voice cut in on the radio- it was a native basic speaker.
"We are coming in- I'll keep the engines hot and loop round, we'll fly by low near the compound and you guys can bail." the voice of the human pilot called out over the intercom.
The plan was relatively simple. They didn't need to know why. They only needed to know where and that where was a compound on the junk planet Jakku that held an astromech droid. All the had to do was deliver the droid to their employer and they would get a nice healthy serving of credits.
The bay door began to open slowly, revealing it's ramp. Jace could see the ground rapidly moving beneath them. The ship began to slow down until finally, the ground seemed to move at a pace no greater than one could run and was only two-meter drop. Deciding to go first Jace toed to the edge of the ramp, signaling as he dove off somersaulting into the sand beneath them. It wasn't comfortable but sand was much better to break a landing than concrete.
Getting up he would quickly run to find cover behind some rocks, signaling for the others.

Re: The Jakkubian Job
This was not the job that Paldon had initially been looking for but it was something that he'd have to take just to get some money. However, he was far from pleased at the precarious position he had put himself in. Compared to everyone else on this ship, he looked the least prepared along with the most out of place and along with that, his current companions were that of a bounty hunter and a IG unit... people designed and dedicated to hunt down those like him. The blood was pumping in his ear far before they ever approached the ground, drowning out the incessant chatter of the Rodian.
When a voice finally did break through, it was their pilot telling them what to expect and he took a deep breath as he seemed to get himself ready. His hand pressed against the blaster on his hip, one he had managed to pilfer off someone just before he came here, along with a small vibro knife that he wasn't even sure how to use properly. He'd never shot a blaster, never used a knife, this was so far out of his territory but he had to fake it and he had managed to get this far. When the bay door opened, he was watching everyone moving towards it and he decided to stay in the back, waiting until they all had gone. His eyes race along the area before he took a jump and landed, stumbling for a second before catching his balance. "Son of a..." He would mutter under his breath.
He was entirely out of practice and when he was able to catch up to the others, a small bit behind, he wasn't even sure if this was a good idea anymore. Now he was truly stuck with these people. As the wind would drift sand along, his eyes would keep shifting between the armor clad man and the IG unit. "They could have dropped us any closer... sheesh..."

Jace was rather green still as a bounty hunter, having only completed about fifteen jobs but the formal military training he had received in his academy days had made him more than prepared for the kind of civilian-level crime they were doing. Hitting the side of his helmet he activated the comm link as he peeked out from behind the rock. From what he could tell there was a few guards outside the base- two weequay armed with light blasters. Two other weequay guards rovers- seemed to be heading their way. Clearly they'd seen the massive fracking ship. He spoke in a cynical ton on the commlink to everyone else.
"So they know we are here after that dramatic fly by drop off..." Jace said as he took both pistols out of their holsters and knocked them to stun. If any others noticed they'd probably note it was pretty odd for a bounty hunter to use... stun? For Jace however this missions target was a droid, not the death of the pirates. He did not particularly want to shed blood that didn't need to be shed... He only hoped he could keep the lead to prevent any of his teammates from getting in the first shots.
He waved to the others motioning he would take care of the guards.
With a deep breath, he rolled out from behind the rock both pistols raised and fire a flurry of shots at the guards. His first shot missed the guard on the left but his second shot at the right guard stuck, the right guard going stiff as he hit the ground. The weequay guard screamed as he fired back. One shot grazed Jace's shoulder- if it had been any more accurate it probably would of fracked his arm.
Shit. Well shit, missed the shot.
Turning both blasters on the guard he fired again, this time the hits stuck and the guard went to the ground... but the others already knew what was up.
Move move move! Jace shouted on the comms as he sprinted for the back wall of the compound. He could hear feet shuffling from inside.

Re: The Jakkubian Job
The Cathar would hardly notice what the bounty hunter was saying or even doing as he was pulling his own pistol and the small vibroknife out and paying more attention to his own thoughts at the moment about how he was going to get out of this situation that he had dumped himself in without look suspicious. "Hah... alright... here goes nothing." He muttered as he was letting himself refocus when he heard the sounds of blaster hitting near him and he blinked as he peered over at the other two bounty hunters who seemed to be moving closer towards the small compound. When he saw the bounty hunter next to him abruptly shift back, having been shot in the shoulder, his eyes glanced back towards the Weequay that had fired the shot and then towards the other hunter but before he knew it, the other guard was down. "Good shots." He would comment as he went to hop over the rock, stumbling for a moment as he went to make his way down towards the compound now as well, opposite the other hunters.
As he was sprinting down towards this building, his body thudded into the side of it as he went to take a deep breath and peek around the corner as he could hear the sound of running and movement inside. Slowly, he would go to creep along the building while he continued to listen but as he was moving, he saw what appeared to be another guard whip around the corner and fire off a few shots at him, making him scramble towards any sort of cover he could find which was a few boxes just as he felt one of those shots graze his legs. With his hands still on his weapons, he decided to take a few shots but each one went far wider than he would have thought. At this rate, he was hoping to just provide a decent distraction to the Weequay that had shot him in the leg.

Re: The Jakkubian Job
His back was now against the wall with his whole crew lined up. From what he could tell, trying to go through the gate and round into the compound would be pretty much suicide... so they needed another entrance. His mind raced, wondering if blowing a whole in the wall would be best. They could take out some in the blast radius and storm right in... but, that was also a pretty loud and crazy way of doing it. Instead, he had a better idea. The building was less than a meter leap from the top of the wall and the building which was taller than the wall. The roof of the building also gave them cover obscuring them from the view of those in the courtyard of the compound. He looked to the spry Cathar guy that was with him. Something told him he was best to do this bit with him... well, a little racist something really? Jace was no saint.
Before he could start explaining his plan, another watchmen came around the gate. This time, the droid shot first. Without moving its torso its arm bent backwards and fired a red long bolt, which found its way into the mans neck as he fell over. Jace gulped. Bounty hunter droids- especially the high IG series were always pretty damn frightening... and it always surprised him why depsite IG droids people still hired meatbags like himself.
"Calculations say highest chance of success is to split- I will use firepower to make it to main door- splicer with me to splice door." the droid blurted out as it drew another gun from its back. The Rhodian looked at him then to Jace. "I think uh, the main door. I can splice it open... So if the IG can clear the court yard at the same time we can get i-"
Jace interjected, jamming his finger into the Cathar's chest.
"Or, give him a boost and give me a boost. And wait here. We'll go up on the roof and find a way in- than we can do a pincer attack coming through their own front-door and cutting off the courtyard guards." The Rhodian didn't mind that idea- it meant he stayed safer longer and could stay with the IG-Unit... and Jace and the Cathar would be the only ones really at risk at the start of the mission.
"Well then?" Jace said as the IG unit holstered its guns and put its hands out, Jace using it to fling himself up the wall.

Re: The Jakkubian Job
The Cathar ducked his head down as he saw that IG unit almost immediately whip around and fire off at the watchman that had nearly took him out. "Sheesh..." He muttered under his breath as he was watching his companions before moving a little closer, the finger that jabbed into him making him stop for a moment before he clear his throat. "Y-Yeah, right..." He didn't seem very certain about this even as he got closer to the wall where the other bounty hunter had gotten tossed over it with help from the droid. "Don't touch me, clanker." He scowled at the IG unit as he went to take a few steps back and take a deep breath before sprinting forward and leaping up the wall, letting his claws dig into hard before scrabbling over it and onto the other side.
Now, as he was falling more out of the view of the IG unit, he let himself land far more gracefully as he was looking around the area before he looked towards the mandalorian looking hunter. "How do you wanna get to the roof?" He asked the mandalorian, trying to figure out what he might want to do as this was something he wasn't accustom to doing while not using what he normally had available to him.

Re: The Jakkubian Job
Seemed the Cathar did not like the droid either... least was not to fond of him. It also seemed like Jace's conceived notions of the Cathar were also right- they were nimble bastards. Rubbing his shoulder as he watched the Cathar re-combulate himself at the top of the wall, Jace merely turned to look at the roof. It was only a meter jump distance wise, but the roof was a meter and a half taller than the wall.. Even with his heavy armor he was sure they could both close the gap and get a hold of the edge of the roof to pull themselves up. Pointing his finger he signaled for them to jump, then, crouched his arms swinging as counterweights as he sprang up and down like an athlete preparing to do a long jump.
Taking a deep breath he launched himself up into the air. His right hand missed slid off the roof and he let out a groan, his left hand barely catching the edge snd hanging on enough to stop him from falling. It wasn't that a fall from this distance would hurt too bad- but rather it would probably be pretty loud. Flailing his right hand he tried to swing it back up, managing to successfully do so, he rested at a hanging position for a moment before pulling himself up.
"Right- the armor or me got heavier..." he said on a deep exhale as he pulled himself up to his feet on the roof. Scanning for any kind of entrance, he found a ventilation shaft and headed for it, ignoring whether or not his companion would make it up too. Upon inspection, there was just one issue though- it kinda had a moving fan in it.
"Well, shit."

Re: The Jakkubian Job
This is where the Cathar excelled at as he was taking a deep breath, looking towards the roof. He had let the Mando go before him and then he was going take a moment to prepare himself as he did realize how out of practice he really was. Unlike the Mando though, he was far lighter and had a hidden aide on his side as he swung his arms back and forth a moment before simply leaping over and onto the roof, rolling forward and landing nimbly as he was taking a deep breath. As he was looking towards the Mando's issue, he was making sure to watch around him before he went to reach out, his eyes closing briefly. If he was able to do this fast enough not get caught by anyone but he had to be smart. The familiar sensation that he had stored away for so long came to the surface.
The grasp that had called to him so many times in the past that he was used to it. As the Mando was watching the fan, he'd see it start to slow down and suddenly stop, before the Cathar would make his way closer. "What is the issue?"

Re: The Jakkubian Job
Jace looked over to the Cathar and then back to the fan, giving out yet another heavy sigh. "Our entry way has a pretty big fan- the kind that would slice us to pieces." he said through his fuzzy voice over the comms of his helmet. He was pretty unsure how they would get in. "We could try lobbing grenades but that might do too much damage- won't be vents for us to enter through if we blow everything up inside..." he shrugged as he drew one of his blasters. "Also would be too damn loud- hell this blaster might be." he said as he aimed it down the shaft at the fan blade and fired.
His hope had been that the bolt would be able to damage the fan- instead the very thick and strong metal of the fan... Holstering his pistol he looked back to the Cathar. "Well, I think we are going to need to go through the front door." he said looking over to his comrade.
Logistically speaking, the front door was likely suicide.
