Although Akhoi had been born on the Mid-Rim planet of Iridonia, he had never been to any of the other planets of the designated region. The Republic had a strong influence on such worlds and though there were plentiful loopholes and limits to their authorities it was typically best to steer clear if one was on the wrong side of the law. However, now that he was a fully fledged Apprentice Sith lord, given the official rank of an Inquisitor in the order, he had been awarded a state-of-the-art ship. The Sith Infiltrator was a sleek vessel with considerable firepower for its size but most importantly it was equipped with cloaking capabilities, as well as sizable holding cells. He intended to put that to use, the man aspired to work together with Czerka Arms, re-establishing the ancient alliance between the powerful company and the Sith. If he could procure shipments of wookie slaves to provide heavy labor in their mines he might be able to secure a mutually profitable trade agreement.
Given that his crew only consisted of three people currently, himself, a Nightbrother named Abberant Ezsol and a Nightsister pilot named Nieja, there was plenty of room to secure some livestock. Between cages in the cargo hold and the force field reinforced holding cells he could safely hold at least 50 prisoners. First of course he would have to scout the planet and get familiar with the terrain and the local villages. The planet was fairly large, a small out of the way village would be ideal. Somewhere he could hit quickly and secure with little resistance. “Take us in slow, keep stealth systems engaged” he instructed as they jumped out of hyperspace and the lush planet came into view. The Wraiths Scanners weren’t its strongest features by any means, but they were still quite proficient in utilizing low energy emissions and a tight beam making them hard to detect even if it did come at the cost of not being able to scan as quickly or as large of an area of a proper warship. “Keep away from any of the spaceports and major cities” he muttered, almost to himself. “I know what to do” the bald, grey-skinned woman hissed through narrow lips. Her silver eyes remained focused on the array of screens, buttons and levers before her. Eventually they settled upon a forested island, that indicated less than 100 lifeforms of appropriately humanoid size. The signatures of a handful of pieces of equipment and a ship or two had been picked up but it didn’t seem anything they couldn’t handle if need be. Jamming coms as per standard precautions the Wraith touched down on the beach. “Guard the ship” the young Sith Apprentice instructed to the others as the ramp extended and he strode onto the white sands.
The sun washed over him, but it was the gentle sound of the ocean that was the most striking. Akhoi was most familiar with rocky and barren worlds, though he wasn’t skilled in sensing with the force he could assume this planet was brimming to life, much like Chologna which he had recently visited. Though Kashyyyk felt somehow more peaceful and less wild, despite knowing the strength of the native wookies that made their home here, numbering in the millions. Relieving the planet of a few dozen therefore would be nothing more than a drop in the ocean. They were simply a resource to him, like any other. With that he made his way into the forests. From what he knew the wookies made their home in the trees, though the structures were typically visible enough to identify from the ground. Perhaps he could even extract these resources peacefully, the power of his persuasive influence with the force was not to be disregarded. As long as they weren’t well attuned to the force themselves at least.
A tranquil region of space that brimmed with varied galactic worlds that boasted successful governments and thriving economies. While less famous than core worlds, the majority of the Mid Rim worlds are quite civilized. Notable planets include Naboo, Malastare, Bothawui, Kashyyyk, Ruusan, Ringo Vinda, and Ord Mantell.
