New Life Continues

A large expanse region, the Outer Rim Territories are lawless, ruled by criminal organizations and/or the Hutts. Notable worlds include Arkanis, Mon Cala, Kessel, Ryloth, Eriadu, Sullust, Geonosis, Mustafar, Crait, Nal Hutta, Cantonica, Hoth, Lothal, Dagobah, Endor, Nar Shaddaa, Florrum, Yavin 4, Saleucami, Scarif, Felucia, Dathomir, and Tatooine. Beyond the Outer Rim is rather unknown, and probably for the best.

New Life Continues

Tatooine didn't exactly bring back many good memories for Alex, but the encampment needed parts and supplies. She knew here who she could barter with and get the right prices. She had spent most of her day doing just that, purchasing parts and having them loaded up and was rather proud of herself. She'd managed to get more than she was sent for, knowing this meant that the Mandalorian encampment for Clan Bull would be able to add another building to its footprint. The Clan was getting stronger, and so was Alex. She had been trying to rise in rank and knew with this new gear she'd be looking forward to Alor'uus (Corporal) as soon as she got back.

Once everything had been stowed on The Pathfinder Alex had Rhye lock everything up and left him to guard the ship as she went to have a drink at the local Cantina. It was almost strange, it was the same Cantina she had met Dromand in some time ago only this time she was able to order herself a glass of Tihaar and enjoy its flavor. In truth, this Tihaar was better than what she'd had at the compound when suddenly something nearby just felt... off.

A holoscreen flickered, its blue haze filled the small room. The red headed sith laid across his bed within his chambers of the ancient jedi temple, now corrupted by the dark side and the true sith. He wore nothing but a pair of black trousers, his gaze fixated on the screen. The recording droid swung round, getting a full view of the Mandalorian woman’s face. Taking in her narrow face, slightly uplifted eyes and almost sapphire blue eyes. They had just slain a sith apprentice, though Telo knew he wasn’t a true sith, just a fraud with a lightsaber, there was only one true sith lord, Darth Lothate. The powerful force user who slept just down the hallway from Telo.

Whether he was a true sith or not didn’t matter, the pair of mandalorians both had sabers however the way the woman wielded hers was apparent she was a true force user only someone with a real connection to the force could wield the weapons with such grace and elegance. He raised his body from his bed, lifting his weight towards the holoscreen and placed his fingers upon it, rewinding it back to the close up of the woman’s face. He gazed at it, taking it all in. Memorising her features. If Telo was to become to take Darth Lothate’s place as the sith lord, he’d eventually have to strike him down take the mantle for himself, but he’d need a successor and apprentice of his own. Perhaps one day this woman could take that role and strike her down himself.

Perhaps one day she’d be the one true Sith lord.

It had been 4 standard days since Telo had arrived on Tattooine, he’d tracked down the woman known as Alex, she hadn’t been too difficult to track down. Gaining information on a lightsaber wielding mando was rather rampant, people whispered about her at spacesports, men would make inappropriate jokes amongst themselves. There she was, sat casually in the cantina, with a glass of tihaar. Telo sat in a corner of the room, with his own glass filled with spotchka. Tattooine hadn’t exactly hospitable to the sith apprentice so far, the hot baking sun was difficult, and the climate wasn’t easy to adjust to. He’d also had run in with bounty hunters, something he’d need to get removed by returning to his homeworld.

Now he had more pressing matters to deal with, to bring the woman into the fold. He peered through the crowds his hazel eyes fell upon her, he wasn’t wearing his mask as Tattooine was simply too hot. When he tried to focus on her, he couldn’t feel anything, was she really a force sensitive? He searched within himself and knew it to be true, but her entire demeanour said no. Perhaps she was able to supress her connection to the force, an ability that wasn’t easy to attain and keep up. He pondered, could she sense him? Would she feel his dark presence looming over her?

For now, he’d simply watch and wait for the right moment to approach her.

Alex tried to dismiss the sinking feeling in her gut, finishing off her Tihaar before making a simple motion to get the bartender's attention. She leaned back in the seat, chewing on her lower lip as she tried to figure out just what would be causing such a feeling. She lifted her gaze as the bartender refilled her drink and she let her eyes slowly scan the cantina. Just as she caught a glimpse of red hair however, she heard a voice as someone approached.

"So little Ciara returns to Tattooine."

Alex took a deep breath and let it out slow as she heard the name she'd gone by after leaving the academy. It couldn't mean anything good and when she turned to look for the source of the voice she wasn't exactly comforted. That voice belonged to a red Twi'lek that looked almost eerily similar to Sukus. "Cruhs." Alex said simply, motioning to the seat across from her, though more out of a formality than anything.

"You know better than that." Cruhs replied, crossing his arms as he looked down at Alex and the girl simply sighed.

"Yeah, I do."

"Flying my brother's ship... You going to admit to what you did?" Cruhs' hand shifted to a blaster on his hip as the woman sitting before him took a slow sip of her drink.

Telo and Alex’s eyes met for just a moment as she seemed to search for the danger that loomed over her, he had been rumbled already. That was apparent, however a red coloured twilek stepped between their gaze. He focused to listen and heard her call Alex, by an alias Ciara. He took note of the new name it was better to learn as much as possible about someone he wished to subdue.

He pondered want the twilek wanted, he certainly didn’t seem friendly and Telo suspected this may turn violent. He peered around the cantina, there was a bouncer droid by the door holding a blaster rifle, it would likely step in if things kicked off. Telo decided against interfering for now, he’d seen the woman in armed combat and she certainly wasn’t a pushover she’d likely have no problem with the twilek.

He picked up his glass and pressed it to his lips, taking a sip of the blue liquid. His gaze not leaving the pair, watching carefully and simply waiting.

Alex swirled her drink in its glass for a moment with a heavy sigh, taking a long sip before looking up at Cruhs again. "You mean my ship now." she said bluntly. She could already feel herself getting mad, something that had been happening more and more since her last bounty with Dromand which had required a trip to Dathomir. It had been the first time she'd ever experienced dark force energy, and she still hated even thinking about it. She knew what Cruhs was going to do before he tried it, and she downed the rest of her Tihaar.

As he took a step back to give himself space, drawing his blaster pistol, Alex slid out of the booth. Her right hand lashed out in a fist, knocking him dazed a moment before grabbing him by one of his head-tails and yanking him down hard enough to slam into the table. His blood sprayed from a fresh gash in his face and she picked up his blaster pistol from the floor as she glared down at him. "Your brother was scum." she snarled at him. "He died trying to murder me, this is the only warning I'm giving you." She dropped a few extra credits on the table before heading to the door, fighting a mental fog she could almost feel creeping in.

The sith apprentice felt a surge of dark energy pour from the young woman sat a few tables across from him, if even for a moment until it was quickly stifled. It was more and more apparent to him that she was able to supress her force, a very unique ability. Though he certainly could be wrong, he was making an educated guess. He constantly felt the force surging through him, so it could in all honesty be anything. The red twilek foolishly pulled out a blaster, but before he could even draw he was put to the floor in a matter of moments. She held the blaster over him, he was disappointed she didn’t let into her anger, but she had come close that was apparent enough.

She turned and started to leave, but he couldn’t allow that not yet. He had to test her, see if she was as skilled as he expected. His gaze fell upon the bouncer droid at the door, who didn’t seem to overly care about the entire situation that had just unfolded but it was about to. A dark whisper fell through the air, dominating over the droid Shoot her he told it simply. In an instant it lifted up it’s blaster and fired, a beam of green light flashed, lighting up the entire cantina, soaring through the air directly to the woman’s chest. Now was time for a true test, would the force scream to her the impending danger, would she withdraw her saber and stop the blaster bolt in its tracks. If she didn’t survive, she was of no use to Telo so there was no loss for him.

Alex was hardly expecting what came next, and given the placement of her sabers it meant she had to react in pure reflex, and with the Force. As she was taking steps forward her left hand shot out to her side and simultaneously a compartment on the back of one of her boots opened up, with a flourish of her right hand the hidden lightsaber there flew from it's hiding place and ignited as it spun in front of her. She hadn't even physically touched the hilt and yet the bolt was deflected... straight into Cruhs' forehead as he was trying to get up.

The entire thing happened so quickly that for a brief moment Alex felt like she was frozen in place, her lightsaber hovering before her as she panted to catch her breath. Hardly glancing around, save for a look of shock at the now-corpse behind her, Alex snatched her lightsaber out of the air in front of her and shut off the blade before taking off from the cantina with a run.

'Sithspit! What the hell did I just do?!' She felt like she still processing everything she had just done, suddenly hating how much time she had been spending meditating on the force as of late.

A smile crept across Telo’s face as he watched the events unfold, the familiar crack of a lightsaber igniting echoed through the cantina the blaster was deflected striking the twilek in the head. Was that on purpose? he pondered or was it her instincts taking over, allowing herself to be dominated by the dark side and giving to what she truly wanted, to kill the red twilek. Either way it didn’t matter now, she’d done exactly what he’d wanted, she’d displayed her ability with force, it was pure and instinctive. She seemed frustrated and emotional, taking off into a full paced run leaving the cantina and the life she’d taken behind.

He needed to take chase, like an animal after it’s prey. Telo leaped from the table for a seated position, soaring through the air and landing on the ground like a blastail cat. Pulling himself up, the door slid open and Telo stepped out into the dessert planet. His eyes searched for the woman, as she continued to run. He called out to her through the force, attempting to manipulate her mind. He doubted he could take full control, she was strong in the force that was apparent perhaps as strong as him if not stronger, but perhaps it would cause enough of a distraction, perhaps he could make her believe the words he was about to speak we’re her own thoughts, the force guiding her to him.

Stop, don’t run. He’s waiting for you, he’ll guide you through this. There is nothing to fear. The words whispered through the air, only for her ears and no one else’s. Telo paused, his hazel eyes looking upon the woman waiting for her to turn and face him, hoping she’d come to him at least in the confusion, hoping to find a path forward.

The last thing Alex expected was an unknown voice in her head. As she ran towards the hanger, it began like a pressure, a headache of sorts. By time she heard the voice she tried to take too sharp of a turn and ran right into someone. The impact sent her sprawling and the young woman scrambled to her feet. Her other lightsaber seemed to leap to her free hand, both silver blades igniting as she spun to look behind her. People parted, some seemed to yelp in an effort to get out of her way, and others just looked at her like she was crazy.

"Who are you?!" she shouted at the crowd. "What do you want with me?!"

Her eyes scanned frantically, and a moment later she had noticed the red hair she had seen in the cantina as well. She swallowed hard and waited for him to catch up to her, silently wondering just what she was getting herself into, and suddenly wishing she hadn't been so insistent that she take this one trip without Dromand.

He watched her as she screamed out, wielding her sabers ready to attack, no to defend. Her instincts were strong and he worried for anyone who dare attempted to cross blades with her, he hoped today he wouldn’t have to, she seemed ferocious and wild. Miles away from the elder sith lord he was used to sparring against.

One foot stepped in front of the other, slowly he paced forward towards the woman his own saber swinging beneath the grey cloth around his waist, his fingers almost itching ready to grasp it if it need be. He continued to walk forward, now in the hanger crowds of people all staring at them.

He’d over heard the conversation with the dead twilek and how she now owned his ship, she must have been heading this way to find sanctuary on that very ship. He couldn’t help but notice that she was nervous, gulping the air as she swallowed hard. Was she truly this afraid of the force and what it had to offer? The power that she could wield was almost incomparable. He moved so close they were face to face.

“You have nothing to worry about, Alex.” He said with a soft charismatic tone, he tilted his head and nodded towards the strangers “Perhaps we should board your ship and we can talk in private.”
